Re modelling manquette
Later on in the week, after researching into sculpting tips I decided to reattempt my work with my new knowledge, and put some time into reworking my maquette.
I decided to remove everything off the wire that I had done, taking off the sculpey, masking tape and tin foil. Other than the wire, restarting all over again.
I re did the head, making sure it was smoother, and re did the torso with out using tinfoil this time.
Despite the torso and chest body shape being perfect, I wanted to work on smoothness and had to prepare to give my maquette curvy hips and thighs.
This acted as the dress base for me. I then decided to add details on top of the dress, highlighting points and curves.

I also begun to add details to shape her figure, adding in layers. After watching sculptors on YouTube tutorials, I saw them details in little parts instead of big bulks. They added on pieces to achieve this, even if it looked off or rough at first.
I then added layers to try build up a smooth coat, with hidden rough details underneath. I cut small pieces and them added them on top, what I learn from a doll making tutorial based on sculpey material. This acted as the dress base for me. making her more busty, showing her curves and ribs with more definition.
I then tired to smooth the chest, dress, ribs and legs. smoothing them out and then adding 'skin layer'. On the back I have tried to defined other parts of the dress and the spine. I also have sculpted a heel.
I then added a skirt and finished both heels..
And lastly, I continued to add more layers of sculpey to make her smoother, details and clothing.
